Children's Parties

	The Donations Committee of the Hawthorn Woods Women’s Club works with local businesses and individuals to secure donations of items for our auctions and raffles as well as dollars for sponsorships.	View Members

Holiday Shoe Box Program
	For the Holidays, the HWWC gives the children at Lake County Haven and Staben House a "Holiday Shoe Box" which are wrapped, decorated, and filled with small gifts. Also, the club gives the children attending the resident Holiday Party at A Safe Place a "Holiday Goodie Bag". These are wonderful and fulfilling service projects for the many children's groups in our community.	View Members

Holiday Store / A Safe Place
	Every December the HWWC helps the staff at A Safe Place in setting up their "Holiday Store". All the women and children participating in the shelter's program can shop for another in a safe environment at no cost. We are able to reduce the staff's stress level and spread some joy to the women and children in crisis. All the items in the store are donated and no monies are exchanged for the acquisition of these gifts.	View Members

Holiday: Adopt-A-Family Program
	The residents at Lake County Haven and Staben House give the HWWC a "wish list" of items they really would like to receive during the Holiday Season. The club then asks the community to "adopt" an individual or family from one of these shelters. This is a great way for the whole family to be involved in the joy of helping those less fortunate.
